Abstract
Rosa Montero developed a book that discusses the social issues in today’s society, by using her character development in a futuristic world. Bruna Husky the main character is a techno human that only has 10 years to live. She is in a world where techno’s are discriminated against and global warming has dramatically changed the way people live today. Bruna faces issues of finding love and dealing with the few years she has on this planet. Rosa uses Bruna and the other characters to project the problems of today’s society into this futuristic setting. The conclusions on the analysis of the first two books in the series will be presented and how they relate to society today.
