Formatting Requirements

Journal articles must be a Microsoft Word Document, in MLA or APA format, 10-20 pages in length, not including citations and bibliography. All articles must be in Times New Roman, size 12 font, double-spaced. You should not have a traditional MLA/APA cover page. Instead, we ask that you refer to the sample document to format your Macksey Journal title page. This title page request is the one exception to MLA/APA formatting and is unique to the Macksey Journal, and an overview is as follows:

  • Include Title, Name, Institution, Abstract, and Keywords
  • The first page is double-spaced in Times New Roman
  • Size 12 font, except for your 'Title' which is size 16 font
  • Page numbers are in the top right corner
  • The word 'Abstract' is bolded and the word 'Keywords' is italicized
  • Line break between 'Abstract' and 'Keywords'
